Wax Paper Mini Book

Wax paper has so many great applications - try making this fun mini book with your favourite photos, paper collection and Xcut dies.

  1. Fold A4 wax paper into 8ths and then cut along the centre of the piece as shown in the template. Fold to make the mini book.

  2. Trim patterned paper to fit inside the first pocket made by the page. Glue them back to back. Use a letter from the Carnival alphabet die set to cut your chosen letter from the paper panel. Slip inside the page pocket and seal the pocket with Patterned Craft Tape. The second page has a simple panel of back-to-back patterned paper.

  3. Tear a piece of coordinating patterned paper and apply on either side of kraft cardstock to fit in the pocket for the third page. Glue patterned paper back to back and freehand cut a scalloped border. Insert in the side of the pocket page and glue in place. Secure with Patterned Craft Tape.

  4. For the last page position a strip of back-to- back paper inside the pocket, Cut a double ended pennant shape and fold over the top of the page, using Patterned Craft Tape to secure.

  5. Decorate the pages, using sections of patterned paper, parts of the coordinating notelets and small photographs.

  6. To make the circle embellishments apply patterned craft tape quite close to the edge of kraft cardstock. Use the large circle punch to cut a number of discs.

  7. To make the wax paper punched shapes, sandwich the wax paper between standard printer paper and then punch. The wax paper is a little fragile to punch cleanly without the support of the paper either side.
