Snowflake Wreath

Posted by Scrapthology, 16 Oct, 2014

Christmas is coming and it’s time to break out the glitter and festive decorations. This quick and easy project fits the sparkly bill with subtle glimmering snowflakes and iridescent accents. A change of ribbon colour would be an easy way to tie it into your festive colour scheme, so bring a little Christmas spirit into your crafting this holiday season. 1. Take a willow wreath and spritz generously with white spritzing ink, leave to dry. 2. Randomly daub with iridescent glitter glue, leave to dry. 3. Die cut a variety of snowflakes from white glitter paper. 4. Die cut the same snowflakes from card. Glue the glitter snowflakes to their card mates, to give a sturdier shape. 5. Adhere the snowflakes on and within the wreath, so some peek out from the willow. 6. Take a generous length of wide ribbon and loop through the top of the wreath, tying in a bow approximately 5” from the top of the wreath. 7. Take a long pin and push through the back of the bow knot at two points, leaving the centre of the pin visible at the back of the bow. This can then be used to secure the wreath over a picture hook.
