Lollipop stick seed box

Posted by TheDocraftsTeam, 22 Jun, 2016

This adorable little container is just as simple as it looks. All you need is a pack of lollipop sticks, a lick of paint and a handful of letter stamps to create a versatile box to use for a multitude of treasures and trinkets.

1. To make the base, cut the rounded ends off nine large lollipop sticks so that they measure 13cm in length. Line up seven of the trimmed sticks side-by-side. Apply some glue to the other two and stick across the ends of the other seven. Leave to dry. 2. To make a side panel, trim the ends off of three large lollipop sticks as before, and line them up with a small gap between each. Cut two pieces measuring 7cm in length and glue to each end of the lined-up sticks. Create three more side panels and allow to dry. 3. Trim four small lollipop stick pieces measuring 7cm in length. Glue the side panels to the base of the box, using the smaller pieces to add some support at each inside corner. 4. Paint the seed box with sage acrylic paint and leave to dry, before applying a second coat. 5. Stamp the words ‘Seed box’ on the side of the box in black ink. Leave to dry before popping your contents inside.
