Gelli Plate Printing

Posted by littlesatchel, 05 Feb, 2016

Homemade gelli plate, as if I have any more parcels I think oh will explode, lol. Took inspiration from www.bloombakecreate.com and modified the quantities as was US. So I used 2 packets of Dr Oetker gelatine & 3 bottles of Dr Oetker glycerin & 170mls boiling water. Placed in sandwich tin & left to set overnight. Then I got to play, here are the results. Hope you like them & all comments are much appreciated x UPDATED to mention: I cleaned it off with a baby wipe. The blue paint stained but the plate works fine.

Note to self: DONT use a brayer to put paint on, plate stuck to brayer! Use finger or old credit card.

Put torn pieces of paper on then paper on top.

Placed stencil on plate then paper on top.

Placed paper on plate after stencil taken off.

Mixed colors around and then stencil on top.

Brayered over stencil then onto paper.
