Craft Collection Birthday Card

The gorgeous pastel colours of the Craft Collection work really well with vintage, shabby chic card styles. Here I have used brown ink and distressing to add to the rustic feel of the card. Cut a panel of doily patterned background paper just smaller than your square card blank and ink and distress the edges before adhering to the card. Emboss a filigree circle shape into white cardstock. Cut out and ink with brown dye ink then adhere centrally. Add a circle of cross stitch patterned paper and a circle of blue gingham paper, again with inked edges. Cut three lengths of different trims and adhere across the card at an angle. Stamp the tag shape and Happy Birthday sentiment (using the magazine free stamps) in brown ink and cut out. Adhere the tag over the trims using foam squares then add three hearts cut from the paper pack down the centre of the card. Tuck the Happy Birthday sentiment between the bottom two hearts and add a small twine bow. Add three large silver gems to finish.
