Christmas stocking advent bunting

Make your countdown to Christmas super fun and cosy with this wonderful twist on an advent calendar. Fill your festive boots with chocolates, treats, or kind words of encouragement to share with your family and friends over the festive period. Make this project your own by picking out your favourite seasonal papers from A Christmas Wish and Festive Fauna collections.

1. Freehand, draw a main stocking shape with a raised top, and a second template without the top . To create the front of the stocking, choose five papers from the A Christmas Wish A4 paper pack and cut out 25 shapes. Trim a further 25 pieces from the second template onto the same papers, making sure you reverse the shape. Use a medium circle palm punch or an Xcut Circle Nesting Die to cut a semicircle on the reverse of the shape to make it easier to remove your treats and notes.

2. Ink around edges of the top section of the stocking with Artiste gold pigment ink. Using a Sailor 2 In 1 Glue Pen, dispense a fine line around the inside (without gluing the top part of the stocking) and adhere both stockings together. Die cut numbers 1-25 from red cardstock with the Xcut Serif Numbers , and stick each number onto a gold glitter die-cut circle. Adhere the numbers to the front of bunting with double-sided tape.

3. Embellish the edges of the bunting by adding a dashed outline with Artiste Gel Pens. Intersperse the stockings with Papermania star gems for that added sparkle. Finally, attach each stocking to a piece of twine using Bare Basics mini wooden pegs.
