Hot air balloon card

Have you spied our dreamy, dimensional balloon card in the August issue (85) of docrafts Creativity magazine yet? If not, it’s time to get your paper creasers and Xpress machine at the ready! Keep the front of your stand-out card clean and simple with a hint of what might be on the inside…

1. Cut a sheet of white cardstock slightly smaller than the card front and adhere with 3D foam pads. Stamp your chosen sentiment onto a separate piece of white cardstock with black pigment ink and the alphas folk stamp set. Trim down to fit across the front panel and attach with more foam pads.

2. Die cut two clouds from white textured cardstock, in two sizes. Fix to the card front with 3D foam pads, positioning the smaller cloud slightly over the top of the larger one. Assemble a balloon in complementary cardstock, as outlined in the full tutorial on page 50 of issue 85 of docrafts Creativity magazine. Prepare a folded acetate spring and attach just above the sentiment.

3. Decorate the card front with a few brightly coloured sequins from the Craft Planet Assorted Colours Sequin Mix.

Project and how-to instructions by Jackie Jasper. Learn how to make the inside of the card and master the techniques of the balloons in the August issue (85) of docrafts Creativity magazine. Find your copy online in the docrafts Shop, or in your local docrafts stockist
