Hand-lettered ombré scrapbook layout

The sun has been shining, and so many amazing memories created. Holidays, trips to the beach with friends or just relaxing in the garden with family, wouldn’t it be awesome to treasure these moments forever? Well, you can - display those holiday snaps in a decorative, hand-written frame.

1. Trim a sheet of paper from the Faber-Castell A3 Creative Studio Mixed Media Sketch Pad to the size of your liking, ours is 12 x 12''. Lightly draw an 11cm circle in the centre.

2. Sketch words relating to summer and your memories around the outside of the circle. Use different styles of lettering to give variety.

3. Select a range of shades from the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Brush Pen Gift Box that will blend well together. We chose to use reds, oranges and yellows for a sunset feel. Trace over the words onto another sheet of trimmed paper using a lightbox, changing the colour of the pen to create an ombré effect. If you use the pens directly on the sketched layout, make sure the pencil is very light, so it doesn’t show through the ink.

4. Paint a selfie frame from the Papermania Bare Basics Selfie Frames Friendship with Artiste Blanc Acrylic Paint. Once dry, pop your favourite photograph behind and fix to the inside left of the circle. Embellish the page with Papermania Modern Lustre 5m Metallic Craft Tapes.
