Colour swatch card

If you’ve got a copy of the August issue of Creativity, you’re sure to be crafting with colour right about now… Make a vibrant notelet with each and every shade in Papermania’s coloured cardstock pack! Here’s how:

1. Create the back of the card using the white sheet of paper from the colossal cardstock pack. Take each remaining sheet (minus the black and three darkest grey tones) and cut into 1.5 x 3.5cm tabs.

2. Starting at the top of the white panel, apply each of the tabs in the colour order that they are in in the pack, working from left to right. Once the first row is complete, secure the second row underneath, positioning them so that they sit approximately 5mm underneath the tab above. Continue to add the remainder of the tabs in this way until the whole panel has been filled, alternating between the textured and smooth side of the cardstock.

3. Using a craft knife and metal ruler, trim a 15 x 26cm panel of acetate. Place the acetate in a landscape orientation on a cutting mat, then score and fold along the 15 and 15.5cm vertical lines. Secure the 15 x 4cm section to the back of the panel created in step two with double-sided tape.

4. Use Bare Basics wooden alphas to create your greeting. Decorate each letter with a different colour of Artiste paint (applying two coats) and leave to dry. Secure each letter centrally to the acetate with tacky glue.
