Celebration gift card

There’s nothing quite like receiving an envelope on a special birthday (cue big gasp and trembling hands). Whether it's tickets for the West End, Arsenal at home or a shiny ten-pound note, the contents are bound to thrill. Surprise your loved one with this fun card: watch them pull the tab to reveal the golden envelope, and see their face light up as they discover their hidden treat!

1. Cut an A5 white card blank down to 8 x 21cm. Fix together two 8 x 21cm pieces of black cardstock with two layers of Stick it! 3D Foam Tape around the outside edges. Leave a big enough gap on the right-hand side to fit the gift envelope. Attach to the front of the card blank.

2. Using the Xcut Art Deco Alphabet Dies, cut out the letters to spell the words 'Hip Hip Hoo Ray'. First, die cut the letters into Craft Planet White Funky Foam, then again into yellow, light blue and pink Papermania Solid Premium Cardstock. When die cutting the cardstock letters, be mindful of the colour combination so that no two colours are next to each other. Next, take all the letters and carefully glue the cardstock ones to the funky foam ones to create an assortment of coloured 3D letters.

3. Decorate a Papermania Bare Basics Foiled Envelope Bag with thin diagonal coloured strips of cardstock to match the letters. For the tab, trim a 3 x 5cm panel of black cardstock, add coloured stripes to match, and fix to the reverse of the envelope. Pop your gift in and slide back inside the card.
